Just kidding. We’re talking about Pages and Posts. Let’s Go!

What are Pages and Posts? Both are features in WordPress and both serve a very important purpose: they help display your content. They just do it differently. A lot of users end up getting these confused a lot which is why many folks end up giving up on their site.

Pages are the static content for your site. This is the place you would go to actually build your web page. Pages are a lot more customizable than posts and you can move things around and make it the way you want it to look.

Posts are mainly used for making blog entries. These are a lot less customizable and it’s only real purpose is to post blogs. You can do things like set what time your post will show up and people can comment on your posts as well.

So which to use? If your primary purpose is to set up a website, use Pages. If you want to blog, use Posts. But know that you don’t have to use either or. You can use both on your site just fine.

And that is it for our ! Next week I’ll share some tips for navigating the WordPress Admin menu. See you next week!
